NEW On the Cover of Construction Distribution Magazine

Northeast Wholesale Nail and Fastener Supply (NEW) was featured in the February/March 2008 Issue of Construction Distribution Magazine, which targets the “professional contractor supply/rental channel.”

In a cover story entitled, What’s In A Name?, the Magazine looked into the beginnings of NEW as a family business that has boomed into a big business-to-business distributorship enterprise that spans throughout New England and the Northeastern states.

The story also discusses NEW’s Unique Private Label Program, that is all about customizing every product by putting the name of the customer’s company on it and which has paved the way for the company’s further growth. Aiming to serve lumberyard and tool house customers, the custom label program was more revolutionized with the color coding marketing approach, wherein every product is assigned a carton and label with color unique only to such type.

The article also talks about NEW’s business model of giving support to their target customers who, in turn sell to contractors, builders and other end-users. While other wholesale/retail companies go for direct-to-consumer sales, NEW is content with “dealing just with their lumberyard and tool house customers and assisting them in support of their customers”.
